Colors of Home
Some things you don't explain. Where you're from is one of them.
You know the question. "So where are you actually from?" And you give the short version, the one that fits in a lift, because the long one takes an hour and the person asking has already moved on.
This collection is the short version. Worn, not explained. Colors of Home is the labeled line, the flag with the words on it, printed the way memory keeps a place: vintage-washed, distressed, a little faded, like a photograph of a street you have not walked down in years. Heavyweight garment-dyed cotton. Soft water-based ink that sits in the fabric instead of on top of it, so nothing cracks and nothing shines. Made to order and sent anywhere in the world, which is rather the point.
This one is not quiet, and it is not for everybody. If you want the flag whispered, go to Travelers or the Sleeve Badge line; they were built for that. This line says it out loud. It is for people who live and work a long way from where they started, who keep a language alive at the kitchen table, who explain the same three facts about their country to strangers every year and never once get tired of it.
Pick your colours. Wear your nation.
